In order to post this blog (which you need to do if you want the extra credit), you need to make a WordPress account at http://www.wordpress.com (if you don’t already have one). All posts will be screened (that means I’m going to read them all before they become public), and I won’t approve any that are anonymous, even if they are totally brilliant.

Here’s your first extra credit opportunity:
- Make a WordPress account at http://www.wordpress.com (if you don’t already have one). See me if you need help with this.
- Log in using that account.
- Reply to this post. In your reply, include your name (otherwise how am I going to give you credit?) and an equation whose solution is 5. For example, k + 7 = 12 works because when you solve it, you get k = 5. However, 2k = 8 does not work because when you solve it, you get k = 4.
- Don’t forget to log out!
