Tonight’s homework was from the 7.3 Practice A worksheet (that we used for classwork), #17 and 18. In case you can’t find that paper, here are the questions:
#17: -6x – 5y = -43
7x + 15y = 41
#18: 8x – 6y = 8
4x + 5y = 36
Leave a comment if you have a question, and don’t forget to check back in a couple of hours to see if I’ve responded! Also, sometimes I will post hints in the comments, so don’t forget to click “Comments” to see if there are any hints.
Good luck!
Okay, here’s a hint: on #17, if you wanted to eliminate the y’s, what would you want the coefficient in the top equation to be? What do you have to multiply that equation by? (You only have to multiply the top equation.)
it was hard did not get it
Eduardo — Try multiplying the top equation by 3.
